My Undiscovered (I think) Fashion Find

I like wearing bandanas. Have done for quite some time, in particular when I had long hair, was a great way to hold it back. However I became very uninspired by what was on offer, either paisley (which is cool but done) or some cheesy advertising branded cloth, and most colours available carry some gang affiliation.
Then came a time where I went to the local fabric shop to find cloth for a shirt, because again I was uninspired by what was on offer in menswear, usually plaid, striped or plain. Yay.
I want crazy, creative, uncommon. But whilst on this quest for cloth I was wearing my trusty brown dana, and started to see all this cloth as a wishing well of opportunity for making bandanas that were my own.
I documented my latest acquisition of head rag with the N8. Here's how it goes.

Sourcing Clothes For Editorial Shoots

I went to a friend/brand rep's office this afternoon to check some new rag from a few brands in Italy. I took the opportunity to use my Nokia to snap some reference shots of items, so I remember what she has (I'm the gold fish in the elephant pond sometimes, memory wise, sometimes). These are some pieces I can possibly use in my upcoming editorial shoots.

The Other Influences I'll Bring...

Fat Lip from the Pharcyde

There's been a lot of influences in my life which are not normal for someone in the fashion industry. Some of the biggest (that I have images of on this computer) are my time spent as the Sydney hip hop Correspondent for 3D World magazine, and my time on the road shooting for snowboard, skate and surf magazines.
Here's some examples, with hip hop in particular being of significance to me in NYC, the home of the culture, which I would go insane to be around.
These backgrounds also taught me an awful lot about working on the move, being in new places and producing the goods, then getting them off to the publications in time for press. This is what the Next Style Correspondent is going to need to be capable of in New York at Fashion Week.
